Macmillan Cancer Support
We raised £90 in donations at our Winter Concert on 15th February 2025. The orchestra was able to contribute a further £410 from ticket sales to make a total donation to Macmillan of £500.Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity providing support and services for people with cancer, as well as their loved ones. The charity provides emotional, practical, physical and financial support. This includes help with bills, benefits, treatment, and cost of living. Macmillan also offers a listening ear, reassurance, and help planning for the future.
In addition, Macmillan provides expert cancer advice and information through their Macmillan Support Line, cancer centres, and website. Macmillan conducts research into cancer care to understand the needs of people living with cancer and campaigns tirelessly for better care for people living with cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by donations and every penny donated will go towards helping them continue with their vital work.
